Python 103

Who should attend?
  • You attended Python 102 and thought Python is pretty fun. You want to know what's next after some basic programming
  • You have been exposed to basics of programming (any language is fine) and think you're ready for more (i.e. Modules, Functions, Class - Object Oriented Programming concepts)
What do you need?
  • Bring your own laptop
  • Install Python 3.6
  • Install Jupyter Notebook (we'd recommend to install using pip as demonstrated here)
p.s. We will NOT allocate time for installation, attendees are expected to prepare beforehand.

What should you expect?
  • Concepts above syntax (we'll provide context through the lenses of Computer Science, understanding what you're doing is more important than ensuring your code is typed correctly)
  • Learning above making things work (it's better that you learn something rather than having a working program but have no clue how it works)
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Modules and Functions
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Class (OOP), some introduction to Django/Flask framework if we have time
Who are the trainers?
  • Aaron Myatt - Python User Group Malaysia
